Blimp II: Interurban Boogaloo
This big-eyed fellow is a modernized version of the Southern Pacific/Pacific Electric Class 58 interurban.
These big beasts ran all over the East Bay and Oregon from the 1910s to 1941, when service was abandoned in the Bay Area. From 1939 to 1941 they ran on the Bay Bridge alongside the Key System's Bridge Units.
My new version is intended as an interurban streetcar, with low floors for fully-accessible surface operation, but a wider and longer body for greater comfort over long distances.
